1. Introduction
Pathify ("the App", "we", "our") is a single-player puzzle game developed by devFhm. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what information the App does and does not collect, how it is used, and your choices.
The short version: Pathify has no user accounts, no sign-up, no login, and no server operated by us that stores your personal data. Your game progress lives only on your own device. The only outside data processing happens through Google's advertising and Play Services SDKs described below, which we use to show ads and let you rate the app without leaving it.
2. No Accounts, No Sign-Up, No User-Provided Data
Pathify does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information (no name, email, phone number, photo, or profile of any kind) to play the game. There is no chat, no social feature, and no way to enter personal data into the App at all.
3. Data Stored Only On Your Device
Pathify uses a local, on-device database (Hive) to remember your game state. This data never leaves your device โ it is not uploaded to, synced with, or stored on any server operated by us, because we do not operate a backend server for the App at all.
The information stored locally includes:
- Your star balance (in-game currency earned by completing levels or watching rewarded ads)
- Which levels you have unlocked and completed
- Your in-progress path/state on the level you are currently playing
- Small internal counters (e.g. how many levels you've completed, whether the one-time rating prompt has already been shown) used purely to run game logic
This data is automatically and permanently deleted when you uninstall the App, or when you clear the App's storage/data from your device settings. We have no way to access, view, back up, or recover this data, because it never reaches us.
4. Information Collected by Third-Party Services
The App uses a small number of third-party SDKs to function. These SDKs may collect information directly, under their own privacy policies โ this data is processed by Google, not by us, and we do not receive or store your personal data from these services on any server we control.
Google AdMob (Advertising)
Pathify shows banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads through Google AdMob to support free play. To serve and measure ads, Google's AdMob SDK may collect:
- Advertising ID (a resettable, non-permanent device identifier)
- Device information (device model, operating system version, language, screen size)
- IP address (used to derive an approximate, non-precise location such as country/city)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and video completion, for fraud prevention and measurement)

Google Play In-App Review
After completing a few levels, the App may โ once, and only once โ ask Google Play's built-in review system to show its native rating dialog, without leaving the App. This uses Google Play Services and is governed entirely by Google's own privacy policy; we do not receive any information about whether or how you rated the App.
Google Play Services (general)
As an Android app, Pathify runs on top of Google Play Services, which may collect basic device and diagnostic information (such as app version and crash data) under Google's own privacy policy, independent of anything the App itself does.
| Service | Purpose | Their Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Ad serving & measurement | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play Services / In-App Review | Core Android services, in-app rating prompt | policies.google.com/privacy |
5. How This Information Is Used
Any information described above is used solely to:
- Display and measure advertisements shown inside the App
- Detect and prevent invalid ad traffic and fraud
- Let you rate the App without leaving it, via Google Play's own system
- Keep the core Android/Google Play platform functioning correctly
We do not use this information for profiling outside of what Google's advertising systems do on their own, and we do not build any user profile or database of our own, because โ again โ we have no backend server that stores or processes it.
7. App Permissions
Pathify requests the following Android permission:
- Internet access โ required to display ads, verify a real internet connection past the first few levels (so ad-supported gameplay can't be bypassed simply by turning off Wi-Fi/data), and to let the in-app "Website", "Privacy Policy", and "Support Email" links open properly.
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage/photos, or any other sensitive device permission.
8. Children's Privacy
Pathify is a general-audience puzzle game and is not knowingly directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
Note that ads shown through Google AdMob are configured according to Google Play's content rating and ads policies for this App's listed audience.
9. Your Choices & Rights
Ad personalization
You can opt out of personalized advertising and reset your advertising identifier
at any time from your device settings:
Android: Settings โ Privacy โ Ads (wording varies by Android version).
Uninstalling the App
Since all gameplay data lives only on your device, uninstalling Pathify โ or clearing its storage from your device's App info screen โ permanently deletes all locally stored game data (stars, progress, unlocked levels).
GDPR / CCPA and similar regional rights
Because we do not collect, hold, or process personal data on any server we operate, we generally have nothing on file to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. Any rights relating to data collected by Google (e.g. advertising identifiers) can be exercised directly through Google's own privacy controls at myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.
10. Data Security
Because your game data is stored only locally on your own device and never transmitted to a server we control, it is not exposed to the kind of server-side data breach that can affect apps with user accounts. The security of locally stored data depends on the security of your own device (e.g. screen lock, encryption) โ we recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.
11. International Data Transfers
Google's advertising and Play Services infrastructure may process data on servers located in countries other than your own. These transfers are governed by Google's own privacy policy and applicable legal safeguards; we do not separately transfer any personal data ourselves, as we do not collect or hold any.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App's features or in applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
